About the position

ManpowerGroup has partnered with a leading Banking Services organization in Jersey City, NJ, to find a SQL Database Developer. This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. The SQL Database Developer will play a crucial role in assisting the team with various database-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL Server development experience and will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and mentoring the team on OLAP database schema design. This role requires the design of tables, stored procedures, views, indexes, user-defined functions, and other database objects to support the delivery of multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 applications. In addition to database design, the SQL Database Developer will analyze and performance tune SQL queries to reduce response times without negatively impacting application performance. The developer will also implement and document best practices for database object creation, maintenance, performance tuning, and optimization for future development. Furthermore, the role involves developing and documenting measures for data quality, data discovery, and data lineage. Experience with CI-CD deployments, particularly with Jenkins and DACPAC, is also required. While not mandatory, familiarity with Informatica or SSIS development is considered a plus. The position is expected to last between 12 to 18 months, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong SQL Server development experience required.
  • 10+ years of SQL Server development experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good to have Informatica or SSIS development experience.
