About the position

The SQL Database Developer role is focused on developing and managing SQL databases within the Capital Market and Investment domain. The position requires strong data modeling and SQL development skills, with a preference for candidates who have experience with cloud technologies and reporting tools. This is a contract position based in Buffalo, NY, with a hybrid work model allowing for some remote work from day one.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage SQL databases for Capital Market and Investment applications.
• Perform data modeling to support database design and implementation.
• Utilize AWS services such as Quicksight, Redshift, S3, RDS, Kafka streaming, Glue, and Lambda as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and reporting needs.
• Create and maintain documentation for database structures and processes.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in SQL development.
• 3 years of experience in data modeling.
• Strong understanding of Capital Market and Investment domain.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Quicksight, Redshift, S3, RDS, Kafka streaming, Glue, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with reporting tools like PowerBI, Cognos, and Tableau.
