Flexi Software, a well-established enterprise software company with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a SQL Development Engineer to join its team. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while working with a dynamic group of professionals. The SQL Development Engineer will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining database programs and schemas using T-SQL and PL/SQL languages specifically for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database engines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing stored procedures, functions, and triggers that form a unified code base for Flexi's applications, which are delivered to end customers. In this role, the engineer will be expected to develop and unit test database programs according to provided specifications, correct defects related to database objects reported through QA and customer support channels, and participate in architecting solutions for new functionalities. The engineer will also design new database storage structures and update existing ones, assemble technical database documentation, and seek ways to enhance application design for better maintainability and software reuse. Additionally, providing solutions to optimize database performance and concurrency will be a key responsibility.
