About the position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a SECRET CLEARED SQL DBA to support a multi-year Army program. This role involves assisting with a data center that supports IT, Software Development, and Integration teams with enterprise delivery. The position is hybrid, requiring two days on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, audit, and maintain a highly available enterprise database system.
• Develop, follow, and maintain team documentation for repeatable processes, including database feature installation, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
• Monitor backups on all SQL Server databases and DISA STIGs.
• Adhere to ITIL practices for Change Management.
• Perform routine disaster recovery testing scenarios.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with 2019 Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration, Installation & Configuration, and SQL Server Cumulative Updates.
• Experience with SQL Server Availability features.
• Experience with Database Performance Tuning Skills.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
