About the position

The SQL DBA position at EY Comply focuses on the planning, implementation, and management of SQL Server Azure instances. The role emphasizes security implementation, monitoring, and optimization of database resources, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) while addressing production issues promptly. The ideal candidate will possess strong TSQL skills and experience in performance tuning and optimization services.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement data platform for SQL Server Azure instances.
• Enable security implementation across databases and servers in various environments.
• Monitor, configure, and optimize database resources in Azure.
• Plan and maintain high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) solutions.
• Handle production issues that require immediate attention.
• Optimize common table expressions, stored procedures, and views.
• Update DBA configurations and tune for a stable environment in production, UAT, and lower environments.
• Perform backup and restore operations in a production environment.

Requirements

• Experience with SQL Server Azure instances.
• Knowledge of security implementation for databases and servers.
• Ability to monitor and optimize database resources in Azure.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) planning.
• Strong performance tuning skills and optimization services knowledge.
• Proficiency in TSQL scripting and related tools.
• Experience in updating DBA configurations for stable environments.
• Hands-on experience with backup and restore processes in production.
