About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a SQL Developer/Data Analyst for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves consulting on complex initiatives, analyzing multifaceted challenges, and contributing to significant projects such as the Axiom implementation and reporting modernization. The position requires strong collaboration with client personnel and a focus on maintaining data quality to support business processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Technology Business Systems Consulting
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Technology Business Systems Consulting challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel
• Support significant portions of the Axiom implementation and reporting modernization project
• Organize and lead companywide initiatives to ensure data quality is maintained
• Conduct data analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements
• Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues
• Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
• Adhere to data governance standards and procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Systems Data or Business Systems Design experience
• Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in SQL, Python, Data Analysis, Excel

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Alteryx
• Thorough understanding of the design, development, and implementation of software solutions
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with BI tools such as Alteryx, Power BI
• Working knowledge of importing data for use in report software or analytical tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Product knowledge in areas such as loans and leases, deposits, derivatives, securities, equity, capital
• Knowledge of regulatory and financial reporting: Client, OCC, SEC, etc.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, financial reporting systems, legal entities, and role of regulatory authorities
