About the position

The SQL Developer / Data Conversion Specialist / Business Analyst at D.R. Horton, Inc. is responsible for developing web-based applications and enhancing existing legacy systems. This role involves working with various technologies to streamline internal business processes, perform testing, and collaborate with team members to design effective solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of SQL development and related Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications that streamline internal business processes
• Work with existing legacy applications to convert, extend, and enhance functionality
• Perform unit testing and initiate end-to-end testing and validation
• Adhere to pre-defined development standards for naming conventions and user interface
• Complete assigned tasks correctly and within the designated time
• Perform problem determination for correcting defects
• Assist in designing solutions for enhancements or problem resolution
• Estimate work involved for project tasks and analyze design solutions
• Collaborate with users or Business Analysts to determine requirements and design systems
• Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner
• Support miscellaneous legacy systems

Requirements

• Excel experience
• Fluent in SQL development
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems
• Working knowledge of SSRS - Microsoft Reporting Services
• Basic knowledge of SSAS - Microsoft Analysis Services
• Working knowledge of SSIS - Microsoft Integration Services
• Working knowledge of SSMS - Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
• Working knowledge of IBM DB2 is a plus
• Basic knowledge of MYSQL
• Basic knowledge of PowerBI
• Basic understanding of CDC mirroring and SQL replication or similar
• Ability to work with end users to identify and troubleshoot problems
• Ability to design and implement conversion strategies for data migration
• Experience with other Homebuilder software (ECI Mark Systems, Sage Timberline, Builder MT, etc.) preferred
• Real estate homebuilding experience preferred
• Experience with JDEdwards World Homebuilder Modules preferred
