About the position

The SQL Developer/DBA position at Insight Global involves joining the ETL Development team within a large healthcare organization undergoing a divestiture. The role requires a self-motivated individual with a background in SQL Database Development to facilitate communication between developers and DBA teams, troubleshoot issues, and document processes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between ETL developers and DBA teams to resolve issues.
• Document issues and processes using JIRA.
• Set up meetings as necessary to address problems that arise during development.
• Identify and communicate issues quickly to the DBA team for resolution.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of SQL Server Database back-end developer or DBA experience.
• Strong understanding of DevOps processes, including GitHub Actions and Octopus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with various levels of stakeholders, including clinical and technology teams.
• Confidence in communicating issues clearly between ETL developers and DBA team.
• 3-5 years of intermediate to advanced SQL and T-SQL skills.
• 1-3 years of experience with automated jobs (Active Batch, SQL Server Agent, ESP, etc.).
• Experience with Teradata SQL skills.
• Previous hands-on roles in large system conversions or mergers.
• Experience standing up Windows Servers.
• Strong understanding of MS Active Directory Groups and permissions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience assisting with a migration or divestiture of a company.
