About the position

The SQL Developer I position at Performance Food Group is focused on true SQL development for the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The role involves collaborating with a small team of developers and business analysts to create and modify custom business applications using SQL. The developer will work closely with business stakeholders and IT management to gather requirements, propose improvements, and deliver well-documented solutions that meet business needs while adhering to coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, project managers, architects, and business analysts to develop new technology and enhance existing applications.
• Develop medium to large scale applications with medium complexity.
• Engage in software design and development in MS SQL Server for High Jump Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Develop, test, and support existing T-SQL scripting.
• Design, develop, and implement business applications using current technologies.
• Create design documents such as technical specifications, functional requirements, object modules, system test plans, and user documentation.
• Ensure successful completion of projects that meet requirements.
• Provide support to maintain existing applications.
• Participate in Team Code Reviews.
• Participate in Support Rotation (Nightly/Weekend) as required.
• Work in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 - 3 years of SQL development experience.
• Must be a local candidate.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• 3 - 5 years of SQL development experience (preferred).
• Experience with High Jump development or other WMS development (preferred).

• Base salary of $80,000 - $115,000
