The SQL Developer, Python role is focused on leading the development and delivery of complex data solutions to meet technology and business objectives. This position involves guiding stakeholders and teams through the design and execution of data integration, cleaning, transformation, and control processes, while providing technical leadership based on extensive experience in implementing data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions.
• Design and deliver code for data integration, cleaning, transformation, and control.
• Guide stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers through design and execution processes.
• Provide technical thought leadership based on significant experience with complex data solutions.
• Ensure consistent design and engineering approaches across multiple data flows and systems.
• Collaborate with team members to address knowledge gaps and provide training.
• Assist in application development using Python or writing advanced SQL queries.
• Conduct research and evaluate new toolsets for data solutions.
• Utilize architectural components in the design and development of client requirements.
• Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate data for operational and analytics systems.
• Identify better solutions for technical problems and challenge the status quo.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and ensure feasibility of data architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and nonfunctional requirements.
• Build processes for data transformation, structures, metadata, quality controls, and workload management.
• Define and build data pipelines for informed decision-making.
• Contribute to test suites and analyze test reports for issues.
• Document and communicate information for deployment and maintenance.
• Adhere to team delivery and release processes for code deployment.
• Identify gaps in data management standards and develop plans to address them.
• Lead concept testing and synthesize results to improve analytical solutions.
• Monitor and maintain daily ETL jobs.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Experience with statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, Hive) for data manipulation and insights.
• Experience in creating data architectures.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their real-world applications.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team coordination.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools (Hadoop, Hive, MySQL).
