About the position

As a Sr SQL Developer in our investment banking team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions that support our operations. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data architecture meets business needs and complies with regulatory standards, particularly in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, packages, and functions tailored to operational needs.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements and regulatory standards.
• Implement and manage data integration processes utilizing cloud-based tools and services.
• Leverage investment banking knowledge to ensure financial reporting requirements are met efficiently and accurately.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into precise technical specifications.
• Enhance database performance and troubleshoot issues to guarantee high availability and reliability.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices to continually improve data management processes.
• Thoroughly document data models, integration processes, and reporting methodologies for future reference.

Requirements

• 10+ years in database development with extensive SQL development expertise.
• Proven experience in data modeling and database design.
• Required experience in investment banking financial reporting.
• Experience with reporting tools like QuickSight.
• Familiarity with messaging tools (near real-time) such as Kafka.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent understanding of database management systems (DBMS).
• Proficient in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
