About the position

The SQL Developer role at Cloud Big Data Technologies is focused on developing and maintaining SQL databases and applications. Responsibilities

• Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
• Contribute technical content to as-built documents.
• Create, document, and implement unit-test plans/scripts/test-harnesses.
• Perform Data Modeling.
• Create and maintain SQL stored procedures, views, triggers, scheduled tasks, and DDL scripts.
• Investigate, analyze and document reported defects.
• Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
• Effectively serve as a member of Agile oriented software development team.
• Participate in code and design reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SQL development.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL scripting.
• Experience in creating, enhancing, and modifying stored procedures.
• Ability to perform performance tuning and understand query performance issues.
• Experience in a Client/Server environment or large scale software projects.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the radio or related communications industry.
• Familiarity with Scrum, XP, or other Agile methodologies.
