About the position

Insight Global is seeking a SQL Developer to support the ad-hoc reporting needs of a law firm, primarily using Microsoft's data stack, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Excel. The role involves handling daily data extraction requests, developing SQL queries, and working with cubes for advanced reporting. The position may also involve migrating reports from SSRS to Power BI as the firm transitions to modern data visualization solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support ad-hoc reporting needs of the law firm using SQL and Excel.
• Handle daily requests for data extraction and develop SQL queries.
• Manage ticketing requests for data efficiently.
• Develop self-service reports using SSRS and Excel.
• Work with cubes for advanced reporting.
• Potentially migrate reports from SSRS to Power BI.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in SQL development and querying.
• Experience in handling Excel-based data analysis and connecting it to SSAS cubes.
• Utilization of the Microsoft stack, including SSRS and some Power BI.
• Experience managing requests through a ticketing system or email queue.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with NDX and DAX queries.
• Experience migrating reports from SSRS to Power BI.
• Knowledge of Elite 3E ERP system.
• Legal or large firm experience.
