Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer for a 12+ month contract position with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. The primary responsibility of this role is the development of Oracle database schema and data processing to support the Enterprise Data Incident Management system. The ideal candidate will be tasked with designing efficient and scalable tables, views, and processes that will support a web application and Tableau reporting. It is crucial that the systems are optimally tuned to support thousands of concurrent users while providing rapid response times. Additionally, the candidate must ensure that appropriate monitoring, fault tolerance, and recovery mechanisms are built into each design to maintain system integrity and performance. The role requires a strong background in data integration, database design, and development, particularly with Oracle technologies. The candidate will be expected to have hands-on experience with schema design and data modeling, as well as optimization and performance tuning of Oracle Exadata systems. Exposure to Java or Java scripting is also necessary, along with proficiency in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and JavaScript. This position is ideal for someone who has a demonstrated ability to design and support mission-critical database systems and is ready to contribute to a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
