About the position

The SQL Developer will serve as the lead developer on a significant project aimed at automating complex and time-consuming processes essential for daily business operations. The role primarily involves utilizing Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, with the potential for alternative methodologies if they enhance efficiency. The automated processes will be executed multiple times daily, both in batch mode and on-demand by internal business users through a customer-facing application.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead developer on a large-scale automation project.
• Automate key complex and manually time-consuming processes.
• Utilize Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures for automation.
• Analyze and understand current manual business processes and application functionality.
• Identify and analyze impacted code bases to understand existing code functions.
• Understand and implement proposed automated solutions based on business specifications.
• Identify gaps in existing stored procedure logic and additional specifications needed.
• Conduct unit testing of code changes and analyze test case results.
• Respond to code defects and approved change requests from user acceptance testing.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience with SQL Server (2012/2019) and complex stored procedures.
• Strong SQL programming skills.
• Proficiency in Sencha ExtJS/javascript or ability to adapt from React, Angular.js, etc.
• Experience with PHP (v7.2+).
• Proficiency in C#/.NET.
• Familiarity with development environments such as Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience with source control tools like SVN, Git/Azure DevOps.
