About the position

The Senior SQL Developer at DVG Tech Solutions LLC will play a crucial role in analyzing data and developing software solutions for the Department of Human Services (DHS). This position involves working closely with experienced leads and business resources to design, implement, and maintain various database systems, ensuring high-quality data management and performance tuning. The developer will be responsible for writing complex SQL queries, developing PL/SQL objects, and utilizing data visualization tools to support reporting initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database solutions for various systems.
• Write complex SQL queries and develop PL/SQL objects.
• Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
• Utilize data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver quality solutions.
• Debug and troubleshoot coding errors in complex DML.
• Document system architecture using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Support database-driven reporting initiatives for federal agencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Oracle databases.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and developing PL/SQL objects.
• Strong experience with database and SQL performance tuning.
• Excellent understanding of database management systems (DBMS).
• Proficiency in data modeling and data visualization tools.
• Working knowledge of ETL practices, preferably Informatica or Pentaho.
• Familiarity with code repositories, ideally Git.
• Experience with continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with complex DML.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of Integrated Eligibility experience.
• Experience developing reports for federal agencies (SNAP/TANF/Medicaid).
• Strong data validation and quality assurance skills.
• Experience with Enterprise Workflow Management Tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
• Advanced understanding of data visualization technologies such as Tableau.
• Oracle certification(s) are a plus.
