About the position

Trilogy Federal is seeking a SQL Developer to support a large Federal agency's data analytics needs. The role involves extensive experience with SQL and PL/SQL for database creation and management, as well as conducting data analysis to aid in decision-making. The SQL Developer will design multi-dimensional systems, build reports using Power BI, and work with large and complex data sets to deliver high-quality reports efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting comparative, trend, and predictive analysis of a variety of data and prepare comprehensive reports of the analysis that are useful in decision-making and communication.
  • Work with large and complex data sets, multiple sources, and changing requirements.
  • Design multi-dimensional systems using SSAS's star schema for efficient data access and analysis.
  • Utilize SQL and PL/SQL to create, develop, and maintain databases.
  • Build reports using Power BI from OLAP multi-dimensional databases.
  • Assist in designing scalable automated reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL and PL/SQL, Database design and ETL
  • Proficient experience creating, developing, and maintaining SQL databases
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Detailed understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Experience with creating executive-level documentation and reports
  • General understanding of IT System Development Life Cycle and Agile concepts
  • Solid understanding of IT architecture concepts
  • Ability to interface well with end-users and senior client stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative virtual environment
  • Detail-oriented consulting approach, with client-service focus
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team

Nice-to-haves

  • Possesses an advanced degree or credential (e.g., BIDA) in data analytics or business intelligence
  • Experience with Tableau
  • VA or VBA experience
  • Experience with or general understanding of VA data analytic platforms, repositories, or tools
