This position is for an SQL Developer who will play a crucial role in an enterprise initiative focused on ServiceNow CMDB, IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Application Performance Management (APM) Reporting and Analytics. The primary responsibilities will involve creating, managing, and advancing enterprise-wide processes in coordination with IT operations. The ideal candidate will possess superior coding skills in SQL, specifically T-SQL and Spark SQL, and will be adept at developing automated reporting solutions utilizing the Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate. The role will primarily focus on data discovery, mapping, scripting, and automating solutions. The SQL Developer will collaborate with IT operation groups to clarify business rules, processes, and policies, ensuring that the data solutions align with organizational needs. This position requires a strong understanding of SQL programming, as the candidate will be responsible for writing complex SQL queries, managing temporary tables, and optimizing queries through techniques such as partitioning and indexing. Additionally, the candidate will design and manage stored procedures and utilize common SQL functions effectively. The SQL Developer will also be responsible for creating automated dashboards in Power BI, which will depend on both server and serverless connections. Experience with DAX coding is essential, as the role involves creating automated dataflows and vibrant visualizations that are user-friendly for operations. The position is consumer-facing within the IT department, requiring good communication skills and responsiveness when working directly with Associate Directors, Managers, and front-line operations staff.
