As a SQL Data Developer at 174 Power Global, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud technologies. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective data integration into applications and processes. The ideal candidate will be located within a commutable distance to our Houston office, where the role is based. Your primary responsibilities will include database development, where you will design and develop scalable, high-performance database solutions. You will create, modify, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to meet specific application requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with application developers to ensure seamless integration of database components in both on-premise and cloud environments. In terms of database optimization, you will identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SQL Server and Azure SQL databases through query optimization, indexing, and schema design enhancements. Monitoring database performance using various tools and implementing performance-tuning strategies, especially within the Azure environment, will be key aspects of your role. You will also be responsible for cloud integration, working with Azure technologies such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory. This includes implementing and managing data integration pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into SQL Server and Azure databases. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure accurate and timely data integration within the Azure ecosystem. Troubleshooting and support will be part of your daily tasks, where you will investigate and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems and data integrity concerns. You will provide technical support to development teams and end-users as needed. Lastly, maintaining thorough documentation of database designs, processes, and configurations will be essential, along with creating and updating technical documentation for database-related procedures and standards.
