About the position

The SQL Developer at Markwins Beauty Brands Inc. is responsible for the development, maintenance, and performance optimization of SQL databases. This role involves writing SQL queries, troubleshooting database issues, and ensuring the stability and reliability of corporate applications. The position requires strong technical skills and effective communication abilities, as the developer will work closely with various teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Write simple to advanced queries and stored procedures used for applications.
• Create and modify database tables, archived tables, and indexes to improve database performance.
• Monitor and optimize performance of databases.
• Resolve and update IT tickets for SQL related tasks/issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Database administration including installation/upgrade of SQL database, tools, user and security management, backup, restores, and replication.
• Develop SQL-based reports and ad-hoc queries.
• Produce SQL developments for warehouse management system HighJump.
• Work with application vendors on incidents and technical support as needed.
• Create/modify standard operating procedure and documentation as needed.
• Provide on-call and after-hours support and maintenance duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Analytics, or related technical degree desired.
• SQL related certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as SQL Developer or Data Engineer.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in troubleshooting SQL related tasks and resolving performance issues.
• 2+ years of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience.
• 2+ years of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience.
• 2+ years of MS SQL Server administration.

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ years of HighJump Development experience in SQL.
