Their powerful search functions and intuitive, user-friendly interface help boost efficiency, profitability, and customer retention for OEM Parts and Service Departments. The SQL Server Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines to manage and streamline the catalogue data for our EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue). This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate and efficient flow of data from various sources into the EPC system. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our data management capabilities and ensuring that our data solutions meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data ETL pipelines on SQL Server using T-SQL and stored procedures.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, resolving issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data pipeline processes and workflows.
  • Work with the broader team to improve technology solutions and ways of working.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on pipeline development and maintenance.
  • 3+ years of experience writing T-SQL on Microsoft SQL Server, or similar technology.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL-based database systems and data modelling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the automotive industry and vehicle catalogue data is a plus.
