About the position
The SQL Excel Developer role involves building factor scores for custom equity baskets, utilizing advanced mathematical concepts and coding skills. The position requires proficiency in Excel for creating infrastructure and automations, as well as experience in coding with Python and SQL. The developer will also engage in web scraping and oversee automated testing processes, contributing to the development and mentoring of junior developers.
Responsibilities
- Build factor scores for custom equity (stock) baskets
- Work with multivariable calculus and advanced statistics
- Familiarity with fractal mathematics at a conceptual level
- Build Excel infrastructure using macros
- Create Excel automations
- Use Excel for visualizations including charts, tables, and bar graphs
- Write code with Python, SQL, and other coding languages
- Develop code that automatically pulls data from websites into Excel
- Perform web scraping, such as aggregating data from Clinicaltrials.gov
- Oversee automated testing and provide feedback to management
- Refactor and test changes to previously developed programs
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
Requirements
- Experience building factor scores for custom equity (stock) baskets
- Proficiency with multivariable calculus and advanced statistics
- Familiarity with fractal mathematics at a conceptual level
- Proficiency in Excel, including building infrastructure using macros
- Experience in building Excel automations
- Ability to use Excel for visualizations (charts, tables, bar graphs, formulaic conditional formatting)
- Proficiency in coding with Python, SQL, and other languages
- Ability to write code that pulls data from websites into Excel
- Experience with web scraping
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
