BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated SQL Developer for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJ. This position is a contract placement expected to last for 12 months, with a target start date as soon as possible. The SQL Developer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and mentoring the team on OLAP database schema design. The role requires strong SQL Server development experience, where the developer will design tables, stored procedures, views, indexes, user-defined functions, and other database objects to support multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 applications. In addition to database design, the SQL Developer will analyze and performance tune SQL queries to reduce response times without impacting application performance. The developer will also implement and document best practices for database object creation, maintenance, performance tuning, and optimization for future development. Furthermore, the role involves developing and documenting data quality, data discovery, and data lineage measures. Experience with CI-CD deployments, particularly with Jenkins and DACPAC, is also required. While not mandatory, familiarity with Informatica or SSIS development is considered a plus. This position is ideal for candidates with over 10 years of SQL Server development experience who are looking to contribute to a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
