About the position

NTT DATA is seeking a Remote SQL Developer to support an enterprise initiative associated with ServiceNow CMDB/ITAM/APM Reporting and Analytics. This role involves creating, managing, and advancing enterprise-wide processes in coordination with IT operations. The ideal candidate will possess superior coding skills in SQL (T-SQL/Spark SQL) and will be responsible for developing automated reporting solutions using the Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate. The majority of the work will focus on data discovery, mapping, scripting, and automating solutions. Additionally, the SQL Developer will partner with IT operations to clarify business rules, processes, and policies, making this an IT-consumer facing role that requires collaboration with Associate Directors, Managers, and front-line operations. Excellent communication and responsiveness are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise initiatives related to ServiceNow CMDB/ITAM/APM Reporting and Analytics.
• Create, manage, and advance enterprise-wide processes in coordination with IT operations.
• Develop automated reporting solutions using Power BI and Power Automate.
• Conduct data discovery, mapping, scripting, and automation of solutions.
• Collaborate with IT operations to clarify business rules, processes, and policies.
• Write complex SQL queries for data discovery, creation, and management.
• Create and manage temporary tables and perform data scrubbing and preprocessing.
• Optimize queries through partitioning, indexing, and scans.
• Design and manage stored procedures and utilize common SQL functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in SQL programming, preferably with TSQL and SPARKSQL.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries with data discovery and management.
• Proficiency in creating and managing temporary tables and performing data scrubbing.
• Experience with query optimization techniques such as partitioning and indexing.
• 2+ years of experience with Power BI, including creating automated dashboards.
• 2+ years of experience using various ingestion methods (Direct Query, Import, live).
• 1+ year of experience coding in DAX and creating automated dataflows.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ServiceNow (CMDB, ITAM, APM).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies like Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of serverless (datalake) and server-driven (Warehouse) data systems.
• Experience with APIs and semi-structured data.
