About the position

The SQL Developer will be a key member of the database team, responsible for writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance to support various departments within the financial industry. This role involves collaboration with database administrators and developers to ensure database integrity and security, as well as utilizing UNIX scripting for automation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in Oracle or Teradata to support data analysis and reporting.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database processes to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with database administrators and developers to ensure database integrity, security, and performance.
• Use UNIX scripting for automation and operational support, and troubleshoot issues in a UNIX environment.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database processes, scripts, and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Oracle or Teradata, with a strong focus on SQL development.
• Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Strong skills in query optimization and performance tuning techniques for high-volume databases.
• Proficient in UNIX operating systems, including scripting and troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze data requirements and provide efficient database solutions.
