About the position

The SQL Developer at Snowrelic Inc. is responsible for designing, developing, and modifying relational and multidimensional database structures within the data warehouse. This role involves ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring that the data structures meet business needs and enhance functionality. The position requires strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and document technical specifications effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify relational and multidimensional database structures and data flows within the data warehouse.
• Modify ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the outage management data warehouse.
• Analyze and modify data structures to adapt to business needs and enhance functionality.
• Develop new data warehouse structures and reports, and modify existing ones using best practice programming techniques.
• Unit test and debug code prior to delivery to stakeholders.
• Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, testing, documentation, and planning.
• Consult with stakeholders to gather information about needs, objectives, and performance expectations.
• Identify and propose technical alternatives to solve requests and system problems.
• Create written documentation and diagrams as required, including technical specifications and data flow diagrams.
• Consult with functional areas to aid in the development of test scenarios, plans, and scripts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in ETL processing.
• Strong proficiency in writing SQL and experience with SQL query optimization.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Data modeling experience for both transactional and data warehousing environments.
• Experience with C#.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Power BI and SSRS.
• Experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or data architect role.
