About the position

The SQL Developer position is a permanent role based in Jersey City, NJ, that requires extensive experience in SQL development and backend programming. Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Perform query optimization and performance tuning for Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Utilize cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Spark in development processes.
• Manage version control using Git/GitHub.
• Implement DevOps practices using tools like Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as a SQL Backend Developer.
• 6+ years of experience in SQL development, including programming in SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience with REST, Microservices, Spring Boot, and API gateway.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Spark.
• Experience in creating and maintaining data models.
• Proficient in using Git/GitHub for version control.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.
