BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated SQL Developer for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJ. The SQL Developer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and mentoring the team on OLAP database schema design. This role involves designing tables, stored procedures, views, indexes, user-defined functions, and other database objects to support the delivery of multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 applications. The SQL Developer will also analyze and performance tune SQL queries to reduce response time without impacting application performance. Additionally, the developer will implement and document best practices for database object creation, maintenance, performance tuning, and optimization for future development. The role includes developing and documenting data quality, data discovery, and data lineage measures, and experience in CI-CD (Jenkins/DACPAC) deployments is required. Familiarity with Informatica or SSIS development is considered a plus. This position is a contract placement expected to last for 12 months, with a pay range of $65/hr to $70/hr, depending on various factors such as location and experience.
