About the position

The SQL Developer position is a direct hire role within a growing global e-commerce and platform-as-a-service organization. The role involves enhancing the current system and database architecture as part of the Database Engineering team. The developer will collaborate with team members to design, create, and maintain database objects, ETL processes, and reporting visualizations, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server 2022 stack. This hybrid position requires onsite presence in Philadelphia once a week.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain Stored Procedures and ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Collaborate with team members to build SQL Server database objects and processes that support internal products.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and reporting visualizations.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and optimize performance of SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Work independently and in small teams to enhance database architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of SQL Server/TSQL experience.
• Strong TSQL knowledge and ETL skills.
• Strong SSIS experience for ETL processes.
• Mastery of relational database concepts including tables, keys, and indexes.
• Experience developing objects in Microsoft SQL 2016 (or better) databases using SQL and T-SQL.
• 2+ years of experience collaborating on SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS performance tuning problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Snowflake experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory is a homerun!
• Any financial or payments industry experience is a plus.
• Basic C# programming experience knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control, preferably GIT.
