About the position

MCH Strategic Data is seeking a Remote SQL Developer to join their dynamic and fast-paced development team. This fully remote position allows for flexibility in work location, with occasional in-person team-building activities encouraged in the Kansas City area. The role focuses on collaborating with clients and internal teams to create, edit, and maintain SQL queries, troubleshoot performance issues, and apply best practices tailored to project needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with MCH Strategic Data clients, IT, and Sales team members.
• Create, edit, and maintain SQL queries primarily in SQL Server and Azure SQL Databases.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and address architectural challenges.
• Apply skills and best practices in a variety of engagements and roles, tailored to project parameters and client needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Intermediate T-SQL development experience, including writing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and designing queries, functions, tables, and views.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft stack is preferred, with experience in other platforms a plus.
• Strong analytical ability to collect information, evaluate alternatives, and seek different perspectives.
• Conceptual understanding of RDBMS design, data mart design, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Independent problem resolution and code debugging skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and presenting ideas.
