About the position

The SQL Developer at Polaris Pharmacy Services is responsible for developing and maintaining MS-SQL queries and procedures, creating custom reports, and collaborating with business and applications teams to meet their data needs. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality database solutions.
• Implement and optimize databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions using T-SQL.
• Review and interpret ongoing business and application team requirements.
• Analyze existing SQL queries and create new ones based on business needs.
• Provide timely reporting to management, internal staff, and external customers.
• Attend weekly scrum meetings and meetings with the executive team.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
• Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming and SQL Server Management Studio.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in the pharmacy industry (strongly preferred).
• Experience with Powershell or similar scripting languages.
• Experience using STFP applications (WinSCP, FileZilla).
• Experience with Project Management tools is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
• Pharmacy experience a plus.
