The SQL / .Net Developer position at Starr Insurance Companies is focused on enhancing and supporting the Premium Processing Systems and related databases. The role involves collaborating with engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to design scalable data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) solutions, ensuring data integrity and quality across various systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain ETL/ELT solutions using SQL and .Net.
• Ensure proper database coding standards and quality assurance procedures are followed.
• Map multiple source and target systems for accurate premium feeding and reporting.
• Create ETL processes and validate data quality.
• Identify and analyze data discrepancies and quality issues to ensure consistency and integrity.
• Write effective unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Enforce data standards across all data-driven initiatives.
• Translate technical activities for various audiences and stakeholders.
• Seek guidance on issues requiring additional clarity from team members or management.
• Review designs by other team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Share knowledge through meetings and other communication methods.
• Follow departmental workflow processes transparently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of SQL experience.
• Minimum 3 years of .Net programming experience in a corporate environment.
• Recent experience in developing ETL solutions.
• Performance tuning experience is a plus.
• JSON experience is a plus.
• Background in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
