About the position

We are seeking an intermediate-level SQL developer to join our team, working in a cloud-based Azure/SQL Server environment. The role focuses on enhancing our SCORPIO proprietary database tool through maintenance, improvements, and streamlining of data processes, including data intake, storage, automation, and output for client deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Programming complex views, stored procedures, and functions
• Developing Report Server reports and accompanying queries/datasets
• Creating database triggers for automation
• Writing queries to fulfill user requests for data extraction and importation
• Creating Integration System packages for data automation
• Assisting in the integration of third-party applications
• Creating table indexes to improve database performance
• Reviewing query performance and optimizing code
• Data modeling to visualize database structure
• Designing and creating tables to store user requests and application data
• Keeping detailed documentation of all created items

Requirements

• Intermediate-level experience in SQL development
• Experience with Azure/SQL Server environments
• Strong programming skills in SQL
• Ability to create complex views, stored procedures, and functions
• Experience with Report Server reports and queries/datasets
• Knowledge of database triggers and automation
• Experience with data integration and third-party applications
• Ability to optimize query performance
• Experience in data modeling and database design
• Strong documentation skills
