About the position

The SQL Reports Developer role is focused on creating and fine-tuning SQL reports for the public sector, specifically within a Pension Administration System or large state systems. The position requires extensive experience in data integration, ETL processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The developer will be responsible for designing robust data models, optimizing report performance, and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Create and fine-tune SQL reports from various relational databases.
  • Design robust Logical Data Models and steward data design solutions.
  • Develop, debug, and support complex data integration interfaces and processes.
  • Execute and test batch jobs for enterprise-wide systems and Government Pension Administration systems.
  • Monitor report performance and take corrective actions to optimize performance.
  • Produce documentation such as Reports Specification documents, data dictionaries, and test scenarios.
  • Utilize Test Application Lifecycle Management tools to map requirements to test cases and defects.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience as a reports developer creating SQL reports.
  • Experience designing, developing, debugging, and supporting data integration processes using SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, T-SQL, and SQL Server.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and requirements elicitation.
  • Experience with Microsoft products/tools such as Power BI and SQL Server versions 2008, 2012, and 2016.
  • Experience executing and testing batch jobs for large systems.
  • Experience in Data Integration, Data Conversion, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with source code management software like Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server Replication Services and security models.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the Sagitec solution known as Neospin and its implementation.
