About the position

The SQL Server Database Engineer will be responsible for building data pipelines and analytics solutions to efficiently stream and process datasets with low latencies. This role requires expertise in data engineering and operational excellence, focusing on optimizing SQL queries and managing complex data models within a cloud environment, particularly using Microsoft Azure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions for low-latency data processing.
• Optimize complex SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
• Implement data warehousing frameworks and methodologies.
• Conduct data mining, profiling, and analysis to support business needs.
• Develop and manage data architecture in MS SQL and Azure Data Factory.
• Design and implement ELT processes and complex data models.
• Manage cloud migrations and define architecture requirements for analytic products.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance in data management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and languages like Python or Java.
• 3+ years of experience in Big Data projects, specifically with Microsoft Azure Synapse or similar.
• 2+ years in end-to-end design and implementation of cloud data architecture.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud migration processes.
• 2+ years of stakeholder management in low-data maturity environments.
• 2+ years of experience with data governance, security, and compliance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data operational excellence methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory development.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing frameworks.
