About the position

GeBBS Consulting is seeking a SQL Server Developer/Administrator to join their team. This role involves both administration and development of SQL Server databases, focusing on performance tuning and optimization for large-scale data warehouses. The position offers a remote work opportunity while being part of a well-established healthcare technology consulting firm.

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop SQL Server databases.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization for large-scale data warehouses.
• Install and configure new SQL servers, preferably SQL Server 2016/2017 and above.
• Manage backups, restores, security audits, and access control.
• Implement disaster recovery options and database shrink operations.
• Execute DBCC commands, clustering, database mirroring, and replication.
• Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, functions, indexes, and views.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems or related field.
• 3 years of experience in MS SQL Server Administration and development.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization for large-scale data warehouses.
• Experience installing and configuring SQL servers (preferably SQL Server 2016/2017 and above).
• Some experience in Azure or AWS cloud computing is preferred.
• Experience with backups, restores, security audits/access control, and recovery models.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ETL processes using SSIS and Alteryx.
• Familiarity with Verscape for data warehousing loads.
