About The Position
Join MilliporeSigma as part of a global team within the IT Infrastructure department, where you will play a crucial role in supporting multiple database platforms worldwide. This position is customer-facing, allowing you to leverage technology to assist our customers with their projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning and testing. You will also provide application database support, engage in problem analysis, and work towards resolution, ensuring that our database systems operate efficiently and effectively. As a member of our team, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong mix of technical and communication skills. You will need to be self-motivated and capable of researching issues to implement solutions in a disciplined manner. Your ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while remaining organized will be key to achieving the team's goals. Collaboration is essential, and you will be expected to contribute positively to the team dynamic. This role requires a degree or at least 8 years of job-related experience, with proven SQL Server DBA experience being a fundamental requirement.
