The SQL Server Developer position is a long-term contract opportunity with a well-known Financial Services Company located in Charlotte, NC. This role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. The position requires a strong background in software engineering, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server, and a deep understanding of data modeling and database design. The successful candidate will be involved in complex initiatives that require strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel, ensuring that deliverables meet the necessary compliance and policy requirements. Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• 7+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server (mandatory and no substitution of Oracle or other DBs).
• 5+ years' experience with Data modeling and database design.
• 7+ years' experience in developing of DB objects like tables, views, complex stored procedures, and user defined functions.
• 5+ years' experience with performance tuning of SQL Queries.
• 5+ years' Agile development experience.
• Advanced SQL query writing skills.
• Experience with Agile Delivery.

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau reporting.
• Experience with ETL processes.
• PowerBI and Tableau skills.
• Tableau Dashboard Development experience.
