About the position

The SQL Server Developer will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable database solutions, ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. This role requires a strong background in SQL Server development, with a focus on both on-premise and Azure cloud environments. The developer will work collaboratively within a team, utilizing their problem-solving skills and effective communication to meet business requirements and deliver high-quality database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality database solutions using MS SQL Server.
• Write T-SQL code and design new systems based on front-end user requirements.
• Perform logical and physical data modeling and design.
• Implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.
• Review and interpret ongoing business requirements to design solutions.
• Build reporting deliverables using SQL Server procedures.
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Debug and troubleshoot logical and functional coding errors.
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
• Proactively monitor errors, locks, deadlocks, and resource utilization.
• Engage with business and development team members for timely delivery.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in SQL Server development.
• Strong SQL Server development background with a can-do attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Python and Synapse for data engineering.
• Solid understanding of MS SQL Server database troubleshooting.
• Experience with logical and physical data modeling and design.
• Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
