About the position

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to design and optimize SQL Views for data integration from various sources, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient access to data for analytics and reporting, focusing on performance and organization of Views for downstream users and applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL Views to integrate data from various sources.
• Optimize Views for performance and ensure they meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Analyze and enhance SQL queries to improve performance.
• Document the structure and logic of Views for maintainability.
• Establish source and target data mappings for data lineage.
• Validate data consistency, accuracy, and completeness within Views.
• Work closely with data architects, ETL developers, BI teams, and Business Users.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and Views.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and Azure Data Lake.
• Knowledge of query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools like SSIS and ADF.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into user-friendly Views.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance principles.
