About the position

The SQL Server Developer will be part of the development team in the investment banking industry, focusing on supporting the daily PNL Production process for Finance. This role requires strong Microsoft SQL Server development skills, object-oriented design capabilities, and an understanding of architectural patterns to align with the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server 2019 database with performance tuning.
• Modify Python scripts for the application's new React-based UI.
• Implement new Bank-wide development processes and upgrade associated toolset.
• Ensure compliance with Bank policies and standards.
• Provide release management and day-to-day application support.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.
• Understand and apply Agile and Lean software development practices.

Requirements

• Expert Microsoft SQL Server development skills.
• Good object-oriented design skills.
• Knowledge of patterns and architectural understanding.
• Broad technical understanding of project lifecycle and business delivery.
• Ability to drive changes in working practices for efficient delivery.
