About the position

We are looking for a skilled SQL Server Developer to design, enhance, and manage SQL Server databases that support various applications. The role requires proficiency in T-SQL queries, optimization techniques, and advanced SQL Server features. The developer will work closely with other team members to ensure database integration and performance, while also staying updated on the latest SQL Server advancements.

Responsibilities

• Construct, update, and oversee SQL Server databases, including the creation of tables, views, and stored procedures.
• Showcase advanced T-SQL skills by formulating intricate queries that retrieve and manipulate data.
• Enhance query performance using techniques such as indexing, query plan analysis, and query rewriting.
• Collaborate with fellow developers to ensure seamless integration of databases with applications using linked servers.
• Translate business requirements into tangible database structures in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues through query tuning and optimization.
• Develop comprehensive documentation outlining database design, data dictionaries, and functional elements.
• Utilize SSIS for efficient data movement, transformation, and integration across diverse data stores.
• Harness SSRS to design, maintain, and evolve insightful reports that provide a clear view of critical business data.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in SQL Server tools and methodologies and apply best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to enhance code quality and efficiency.
• Strategically plan database structures for growth and scalability.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a MS SQL Developer.
• Proficiency in SQL Server with mastery of advanced T-SQL scripting and understanding of window functions, grouping, and aggregate functions.
• Familiarity with dynamic queries for adaptable data retrieval processes.
• Experience with linked servers for accessing data across different environments.
• Proven track record in query optimization, including query plan analysis and index optimization.
• Experience with SSIS for data movement and transformation solutions.
• Proficiency in using SSRS to design impactful reports.
• Understanding of database security measures for data integrity and protection.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
