About the position

The SQL Server / Power BI Developer role at Dedicated Tech Services, Inc. (DTS) involves fulfilling reporting and dashboard requirements for various business units, enabling informed decision-making. The position requires collaboration with IT management, data owners, and business units to develop models and protocols aligned with company goals, utilizing tools like SSRS and Power BI to create effective data visualizations and reports.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill reporting and dashboard requirements for various business units.
• Develop models, procedures, and protocols in concert with company goals.
• Use SSRS, PowerBI, and other reporting tools to develop reports.
• Meet with decision makers and end users to define requirements and goals.
• Coordinate the creation and management of dashboards and reporting structures.
• Work with process owners to prioritize requests.
• Design data visualizations and determine the best presentation methods.
• Prepare and deliver reports, analytics, and interactive intelligence.
• Develop expertise in assigned subject areas of the data warehouse.
• Maintain ETL and data warehousing processes in assigned areas.
• Advise managers on effective use of organizational data capabilities.
• Liaise with business groups to implement improved reporting processes.
• Coordinate post-implementation support for new data visualizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 8 years related work experience, maximum 10 years.
• Proven experience with report writing and dashboard development.
• Experience with data visualization techniques and technical requirements analysis.
• Proven experience with reporting tools and related software.
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server relational and OLAP database software.
• Experience writing efficient SQL for relational databases.
• Working knowledge of SSRS and PowerBI is desirable.
• Experience with OpenText BI and/or Tableau is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
