About the position

The Squadron Aviation Resource Management Technician plays a crucial role in managing unit flight services, scheduling airspace, and overseeing the execution of flying hour programs. This position is responsible for maintaining aviation service data, flying history, and training data for various personnel, including Red/Non-Red officers, Career Enlisted Aviators, and Parachutists. The technician ensures compliance with aviation management policies and procedures, providing technical guidance and expertise in flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit flight services and obtain flight clearances.
• Validate required Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) and other pre-flight data.
• Provide technical guidance in scheduling the flying unit's Special Use Airspace (SUA).
• Monitor personnel listings and determine the status of incoming/outgoing personnel.
• Manage aviation resource programs using Ad-Hoc reports and the Centralized AF ARMS systems.
• Monitor resources and training requirements for mission accomplishment and safety of flight.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience in Aviation Resource Management and Aviation Resource Management System is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of aviation administrative duties, including scheduling and maintaining training records.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of DFAS Case Management System (CMS) is highly desirable.
• Experience in contingency situations and training courses for job proficiency.
