About the position

The Senior Account Executive in Healthcare P&C is responsible for managing client relationships and serving as the primary point of contact for clients. This role involves negotiating terms with carriers, preparing applications, and developing marketing strategies for new business and renewals. The position requires expertise in handling complex accounts and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and carriers, while also supervising junior staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
• Facilitate requests and needs of the carriers on behalf of NFP's clients.
• Work with the Claims Department on relevant claims for assigned clients.
• Maintain a diary to ensure policies, endorsements, and other information are received to comply with requests.
• Supervise and direct the daily job activities of Coordinators, Account Managers, and Account Executives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact and client visits.
• Keep clients informed of appropriate industry trends and events, including state and federal regulatory issues.

Requirements

• BA/BS preferred.
• Typically more than 8 years of industry and product line experience.
• Property & Casualty Broker's License required.
• CIC, CPCU or other P&C designation preferred.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Self-confident to make sound independent decisions.
• Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people/personalities.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and reconcile financial reports.
• Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills.
