About the position

Benefit Cosmetics is seeking a Senior Account Manager to support our key accounts, including Macy's, Belk, and Nexcom. This role is pivotal in leading the day-to-day operations and strategic planning for sales, marketing, inventory management, visual merchandising, in-store fixtures, and logistics. The Senior Account Manager will work closely with the Senior Director or Director of the Retail Account to ensure alignment on business objectives and strategies. In this position, the individual will spearhead the development of seasonal financial and inventory plans, as well as budgeting processes. Key responsibilities include coordinating the financial and merchandise aspects of product launches, devising effective marketing strategies, and organizing events that aim to optimize our "in stock" position and overall profitability. The Senior Account Manager will also provide necessary support to the Retailer VP and maintain essential liaisons with key retail partners to ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes. The role requires a proactive approach to sales forecasting, where the Senior Account Manager will support the development of financial sales and stock plans, participate with the Sales Management Team in SKU forecasting, and develop strategies for new product launches. This includes forecasting pipeline, initial sell-through, and annual sell-through for all new products. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for strategic planning, including creating a 3-Year Plan to drive sales and implementing key business strategies such as conversion and staffing. The Senior Account Manager will also oversee merchandising efforts, conducting regular productivity analyses of merchandising strategies, and partnering with the Visual Merchandising Department to maximize profitability through effective merchandising updates. Inventory management and budget management will be critical components of this role, along with generating reports and analyses to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Forecasting

  • Create a 3-Year Plan to drive sales

  • Oversee In Store visuals and fixture evolution
  • Manage Sampling programs
  • Conduct regular productivity analysis of merchandising strategy
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising Dept. for merchandising updates to maximize profitability
  • Provide sales data to complement the merchandising strategy and validate the efficacy of proposed updates
  • Manage Inventory and Budget
  • Generate Reports and Analysis

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • College graduate or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years in retail planning or merchandising role
  • Experience with Budgets or Income Statement preferred
