About the position

The Sr. Account Manager - Technical Automation Sales at AutomaTech is responsible for driving profitable sales within target accounts, focusing on industrial automation solutions. This role emphasizes building and maintaining strong customer relationships, managing a sales pipeline, and collaborating with internal teams and strategic partners to achieve sales objectives. The position requires a deep understanding of industrial automation technologies and a commitment to customer advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Hunt and grow profitable sales at target accounts, driving >=30% profitability on project sales.
  • Maintain a rolling 12-month forecast for target accounts in Salesforce.
  • Drive a robust sales pipeline and work with strategic partners on annual joint account planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the inside sales team to develop quotations and deliver proposals to customers.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process for AutomaTech's offerings.
  • Develop a target account list in conjunction with the Vice President and General Manager.
  • Lead the identification of new opportunities within selective target accounts in New England and Midwest areas.
  • Act as the customer advocate, ensuring 70% customer face time.
  • Assist in developing the annual sales target plan and rolling twelve-month forecast.
  • Participate in marketing activities such as trade shows and content development.
  • Maintain relationships with key customers in various operational functions.

Requirements

  • Seven + years of successful Industrial Automation Selling Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Established network of business contacts and customers within the industrial automation industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of AutomaTech industry segments and applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to create and foster strong customer relationships by adding value and solving business challenges.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to determine long-term value.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Office 365, and MS Teams.
