About the position

The Sr. Account Manager is responsible for achieving profitable growth targets and managing day-to-day commercial activities for assigned programs. This role involves developing and maintaining customer relationships, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with various departments to meet sales and growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall BLCP of assigned customer(s) as a contributor and a leader
  • Monitor market share, competitor programs, and overall value of addressable market
  • Gather competitor market information and track important changes in their business efforts
  • Ensure overall accuracy and fidelity of Campfire data
  • Manage day-to-day front line relationships with buyers and engineers up to senior levels
  • Achieve assigned growth targets for assigned customer(s)
  • Meet sales task targets for assigned customer(s)
  • Identify target programs in partnership with advance engineering and ensure data fidelity
  • Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and program management to achieve VCM +3% during Revenue In Development phase
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for customers and products to achieve profitable growth
  • Prepare and lead new business strategies and drive cross-functional teams to meet business goals
  • Contribute to management of customer business plans and productivity programs
  • Work with various departments to ensure competitive and timely quotes for customers
  • Maintain part pricing matrix and coordinate closure of financial issues
  • Support finance in tracking formal amortization schedules with customers
  • Lead and develop cross-functional customer relationships
  • Develop internal relationships across sales, engineering, operations, and purchasing
  • Negotiate pricing with customers ensuring consistency
  • Support and mentor Account Managers and Sales Analysts
  • Utilize internal systems and procedures effectively

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or similar
  • 5+ years of experience with automotive OEM customers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customers autonomously and coach others
  • Previous experience in progressive sales roles, including sales analyst background
  • Understanding of OEM manufacturing and assembly environments
  • Technical knowledge to discuss product capabilities with OEM customer functions
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas and communicate effectively
  • Decision-making skills on customer requests affecting profitability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional negotiating abilities
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to present complex business cases and influence decision making
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary
