About the position

The Sr. Accountant / Accounting Manager position at CS Illumination involves overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is critical in managing the company's financial records and supporting the preparation of financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Book accounting entries, including general journal, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash.
• Enter daily/weekly/monthly recurring and adjusting entries.
• Prepare and ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled monthly.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Assist with preparing timely and complete financial statements.
• Gather information and data for reporting purposes.
• Prepare work papers to comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field.
• 4+ years of General Ledger accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workload.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Self-starter; ability to work with minimal direction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Professionalism in developing effective interdepartmental relationships/partnerships.
