About the position

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in optimizing financial performance through digital technologies, accurate forecasting, and insightful analysis. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, a deep understanding of financial statements, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive informed, data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supports all accounting and financial functions, including month-end/quarter-end close process, key account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Functions as a business partner and trusted advisor to business leader(s) in Sales/Sales Ops, R&D, or Product Development.
• Analyzes financial data, creates reliable forecasts, and communicates drivers and assumptions in the forecasts.
• Proactively advises management of opportunities and potential risks regarding financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans.
• Supports complex financial analysis, creates accurate bookings, revenue, and churn forecasts, and develops complex financial models.
• Synthesizes and analyzes data from various sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluates business performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provides insights to management.
• Contributes to the data analysis, due diligence, and creation of financial materials for mid-quarter and quarterly business reviews.
• Contributes ideas for process improvements and assists in building new reports in BI tools.
• Reviews various requests for approval and coordinates with the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
• Completes ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive Finance experience with a proven track record of driving change and achieving results.
• Strong Finance and Accounting skills, sharp analytical skills, and excellent reasoning abilities.
• Extensive experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Experience with accounting ERP Systems (Oracle and Netsuite experience is a plus) and BI tools.
• Self-starter with the ability to dig into details and think strategically.
• Well-organized and self-directed individual with high attention to detail who can work independently.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with people at all levels of an organization.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA from a top-tier university and/or CFA/CPA/CMA/FPAC.
• Experience in the Hardware and Software Industry in a high growth environment.
• Experience in SaaS is preferred.
• Significant experience in business partnering is preferred.
• Experience with Hyperion / Smart View is a big plus.
